2019 Friends of the Guthrie Public Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Guthrie Public Library Book Sale is quickly approaching. On Friday, February 1, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm is the Annual Meeting and Members Only Night.
On Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm is open to the public. The location for Friday and Saturday is:
Presbyterian Church – Fellowship Hall, 102 East Noble.
All proceeds benefit the Guthrie Public Library. For more information call 405-282-0050.
Volunteer Income Tax Assitance
Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Consider preparing tax returns in your community. You’ll receive specialized training from an IRS certified VITA\TCE volunteer, so don’t worry if you don’t know that much about taxes! Volunteer roles include being a greeter, a reviewer, a tax preparer and more. Contact Suzette Chang at 405-282-0050 ext. 3.
2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13TH 6-7:30PM
Bring a crock pot full of your best chili to share with the judges and other contestants. Prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and bragging rights for the whole year! Please register for this event.
Registration can be done by contacting us at 405-282-0050 ext 3 and leaving your name and phone number for Becca.
Categories are Judges favorite, Best over all, and Spiciest.

Library Closed
We will be closed Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd for Thanksgiving. We will be open on Saturday 24th at 9am.
Door Installation!
Our doors are scheduled to be installed the week of October 29, 2018. Specific are:
Monday, October 29 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.
Tuesday, October 30 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.
Wednesday, October – no install.
Thursday, November 1 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.
*Friday, November 2 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.
The library will be open during these dates/times. This process means removing existing doors and installing three new doors, meaning two (2) exterior and one (1) interior.

We will be closed for Columbus Day! Remember that fines do not accumulate over holidays. If the drop box is full, please hold your items until we reopen on Tuesday, October 9th at 9am.

Tech Tuesday in August

In this step-by-step class, you will create a Shutterfly account, upload your favorite pictures, create an online photo album and discover how you can purchase a print version for a reasonable price. You will discover how to find coupons and specials to get prints, photobooks and other gifts from the Shutterfly site at a fraction of the cost. This Class spans two 2-hour sessions. $15 fee for this session.
