Events

Join us for an afternoon of creative building with Lego!

TLC is a group of teenage volunteers.  Our purpose is to create teen events that appeal to teenagers.  If you are interested in joining, please register to be a member of TLC at the Guthrie Public Library.

This is a read whatever book you want and we will discuss likes, dislikes, and to be reads piles.

Tween Library Council is a group of Tweens (ages 8 – 12) volunteers. Our goal is to create tween library events. Parents are welcome to attend meetings, but not required for your tween to attend.

Reading to dogs has been proven to help develop skills of reading out loud, plus they love the attention. Stop in to say hi to our doggie friend and owner Sandi.

Learn a new skill while helping kids in our community. Every Halloween, SWAK passes out our hats during the trick or treat walk. Let’s help them make some!

Tweens (ages 9-12) will be decorating pre-made gingerbread houses to enter into the library’s 6th annual Holiday Cookie Contest that will take place on December 14th at 12pm. Space is limited so sign-up is required. Sign-up by visiting the event binder or calling the library at 405-282-0050.
