2019 Library Summer Challenge!

We are heading into our Summer @Your Library 2019. This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories” and will go on for the months of June and July.  Every age group will experience educational, creative and Space/Story tailored events.  This summer will be an out of this world experience at the Guthrie Public Library.

Library staff will kick start Summer @Your Library 2019 during Red Brick Nights with Colored Hair Spray and the ability to sign up for Summer Events. In the following weeks children will have weekly NASA @My Library Mondays, have the experience of exotic adventures with animals, and Wednesdays hear speakers on celestial and NASA inspired events. Teens will trek into the epic-ness of Mystery Science Theater 3000 with SciFi classics all summer long, partake in an interstellar scavenger hunt, and defy gravity as they make their way out of an escape room. Adults will get lost in the 1920s during a roaring murder mystery party, have a family day in making their own constellations and dip into the cosmos in creating their own bath bombs.
