S.T.E.M. Mondays:

June 3rd, 12—3 PM, Paper Aviation Challenge: Can you craft an aircraft able to maneuver our obstacle course?

June 10th, 12—3 PM, Strange New Planet: Be the creator of your own world and dare to explore others in this group activity.

June 17th, 12—3 PM, Saturn CDs:  Craft your own Saturn and listen to the tale of the Cassini Space Probe.

June 24th, 9—11 AM, Mars Rovers @ Highland Park: Stretch your legs and venture out with us to Highland Park as we play a game using coding a teamwork.

Monday, June 24th 4-5:30pm- Galactic T-shirts: Spend some time designing and making a galactic shirt with bleach and a black t-shirt. All materials will be provided. You must register for this event, in order to have a shirt waiting for you.

Monday June 3rd from 9—10:30AM, and Monday June 17th from 4—5:30 PM,  Pokémon Go Group: We will meet at the Guthrie Public Library and then venture out into the world together tracking Pokémon. Bring your cards to battle and trade if you wish.

Wednesdays at 10:30 AM. Story Time: Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, crafts and more! Please RSVP. Text @guthriel to 81010 for friendly reminders.

Tuesday, June 11th 1-3pm- Make Your Own Constellation: In this activity, patrons will learn how ancient people related to constellations, then use their imagination to create a star pattern and accompanying story. Then we will go into our inflatable planetarium and show each constellation and the story that goes with it. Limited space available, must register for this event

 Stellar Wednesday Events:

June 5th, 1—2 PM & 2—3PM, Out of this World Insects:  Part one of  will be an informative session with limited seating, MUST RSVP to attend, part two will be a hands on come and go session open to all.

June 12th,  1—2 PM,  Constellation Origins: Lets talk about your favorite constellations and how to find them!  Hoku Henna will be joining us, show up early to rsvp your spot!

June 19th, 1—3 PM, Extreme Animals:  Learn about the animals represented in night sky and why they are so special.

June 26th, 1 – 2 PM, The Great Space Adventure: This program will give a demonstration with exciting experiments dealing with different aspects of space and our galaxy, and will then have a hands-on engineering activity for children in the audience.

Saturday, June 29th 2:30- 4pm- Egg Drop Contest: Build a device that can have an egg survive being dropped off of City Hall’s roof! Registration for the event begins at 2:30 and the drop will happen promptly at 3pm.  If you are not there to be registered your egg will not be dropped off the building. Scoring will be for presentation and egg survival. Ages 8 and up!

 Tuesday, June 4th & 18th from 1-2 PM & Thursday, June 27th from 3:30 – 5:00 PM . Lego Club: Create, Build, Learn, and have Fun! RSVP for this event. All Ages are Welcome. Please keep your Legos at home unless you wish to make a donation to the Guthrie Library.
