Book Club/ Let’s Talk About It-Monday, May 19, 6-8PM: The Series is “Much Depends on Dinner.” The final book in the series is Secrets of the Tsil Cafe by Thomas Fox Averill. Borrow a copy at the front desk. Nearly every aspect of our lives affects what we eat: politics, religion, economics, geography, culture and ethnicity, aesthetics, health and personal taste. Food is no exception.

The Crowns Tea-Saturday, May 24, 2-4PM: The library will host The Crowns Tea. This event is based on the book "Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats" by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry. This year’s theme is “The Life and Times of Ada Fisher.” All attendees must wear a hat (church hat is preferred). We are asking that you bring your own tea wear for this event.
