2019 Friends of the Guthrie Public Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Guthrie Public Library Book Sale is quickly approaching.  On Friday, February 1, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm is the Annual Meeting and Members Only Night.

On Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm is open to the public.  The location for Friday and Saturday is:

Presbyterian Church – Fellowship Hall, 102 East Noble.

All proceeds benefit the Guthrie Public Library.  For more information call 405-282-0050.

2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off


Bring a crock pot full of your best chili to share with the judges and other contestants. Prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and bragging rights for the whole year! Please register for this event.

Registration can be done by contacting us at 405-282-0050 ext 3 and leaving your name and phone number for Becca.

Categories are Judges favorite, Best over all, and Spiciest.

Door Installation!

Our doors are scheduled to be installed the week of October 29, 2018.  Specific are:

Monday, October 29 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.

Tuesday, October 30 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.

Wednesday, October – no install.

Thursday, November 1 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.

*Friday, November 2 – approximately 9:00 am. to closing.

The library will be open during these dates/times.  This process means removing existing doors and installing three new doors, meaning two (2) exterior and one (1) interior.

Tech Tuesday in August

You’ve captured your digital pictures, but nothing is more pleasurable than seeing them in print. In this step-by-step class, you will create a Shutterfly account, upload your favorite pictures, create an online photo album and discover how you can purchase a print version for a reasonable price. You will discover how to find coupons and specials to get prints, photobooks and other gifts from the Shutterfly site at a fraction of the cost. This Class spans two 2-hour sessions. $15 fee for this session.

Volunteers Wanted!!!!

Summer is just around the corner and the Library is in need of Volunteers for the months of June and the first week of July! If you decided to join us in out quest for an epic summer, you will get to see behind the scene action of the library.  Like how we make and create events for the public, how we come up with ideas about decorating the building, and much more! We take people of all ages, so even adults can apply!

If you are a part of the National Honor Society, Young Marines, or Junior National Honor Society you can easily get in 40+ hours of volunteer time in June alone.  Please consider us for volunteer hours this summer. If you are interested please print and fill out this form:
