4th Annual Holiday Cookie Contest
Welcome Bakers to the 4th Annual Cookie Contest with Special Guest Judges, Santa and Mrs. Claus!
This delicious contest consists of 3 categories:
- Chocolate Chip
- Sugar Cookie
- Open Class (All other traditional, nontraditional, and family favorite cookies)
Submissions will be accepted starting at 10AM and must be turned in by 12PM December 17th. Judging will start promptly at 12PM. There will be 6 judges, to serve as a head count for cookies to bring, we are sure there will be volunteers to see to any extra cookies.
Awards will be given out after judging has been calculated, including Judges Favorite and the winner of the Tween Ginger Bread House Contest.

5th Annual Chili Cook-off
On Tuesday, December 6th at 6pm the 5th Annual Chili Cook-off begins!
Here is what you need to know:
- Entries are signed up the night of the event.
- There will be judging for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, most spicy, and judges favorite.
- You will be allowed to taste the competition so bring enough to share!

The 2021 Winter Reading Challenge is coming in December! We are using READsquared again in their Bingo Boards. You can go to: http://guthriepl.readsquared.com/ComingSoon.aspx to get a reminder email to register for the game.
This year is “Read Across Oklahoma!” We’ve curated a board with a mix of activities and book topics to alleviate your winter boredom. This year is Bingo Boards! Find the board on your app, it usually is mark as a “B” on your home page or under “Bingo” on the home screen when using a computer.
We are playing Blackout, with every line completed you will be entered into a drawing for a Kindle Fire for each age group.
Game starts December 1, 2021 and goes to February 1, 2022!
The Sixth Annual Crowns Tea
Saturday, February 13th from 1-4:30pm
The 2021 Guthrie Public Library Crowns Tea: Engaging the Next Generation of Young Women is open to men, women of all ages, race, ethic groups, identities and background(s). Wearing hats is strongly encouraged.
Being and becoming a young women, within the context of sports, is the topic for the 2021 Guthrie Public Library Crowns Tea and the theme is human identities.
Space is limited this year and a ticket is required. To register for your ticket please contact the Guthrie Public Library Circulation desk or call 405-282-0050 ext. 3.
*Social distancing and face masks will be required when not eating.
5th Annual Crowns Tea
The Guthrie Public Library will host our 5th Annual Crowns Tea. This event is based on the book “Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats” by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry. This year’s theme is I’m Every Woman. Attendees will partake of drinks, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment. All attendees must wear a hat (church hat is preferred). Getting Started in Windows 10
In this 2-hour session, you will discover how to Log in, navigate the Windows 10 interface, find existing Apps, and your first App. Then you will explore the Solitaire, Weather and Calendar Apps on your Windows 10 device.To attend, contact Meridian Tech at 405-377-3333, there is a $15 fee for attending this session.
2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13TH 6-7:30PM
Bring a crock pot full of your best chili to share with the judges and other contestants. Prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and bragging rights for the whole year! Please register for this event.

Categories are Judges favorite, Best over all, and Spiciest.
